1. Acceptance of Terms

The Propane Tank Duration Calculator ("the Service") is a free, browser-based RV propane usage estimator published by S'more's Outdoors ("we," "us," "our"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of the Service

The Service helps you estimate how long a supply of propane will last in an RV, camper van, motorhome, or similar rig. It models furnace consumption from your furnace's rated BTU input and a computed thermostat duty cycle (driven by outside temperature, thermostat setting, and how well your rig holds heat), plus optional water heater, stove/oven, absorption fridge, and portable heater use. It also estimates propane needed for a trip of a given length and the approximate cost.

The Service requires no account, no signup, and no payment. All calculations happen in your browser.

3. Estimates Only — No Warranty of Accuracy

Every number the Service produces is an estimate built on simplified assumptions about appliance ratings, duty cycles, insulation, and weather. Real-world propane consumption varies with wind, humidity, altitude, appliance condition and efficiency, actual tank fill level, and regulator behavior — and your propane can run out faster than the Service calculates. In dangerous cold, running out of heating fuel can be a life-safety event. You are solely responsible for carrying reserve propane capacity and for verifying your actual consumption before relying on any output of this Service, especially for cold-weather trips.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: (a) misuse the Service to submit malicious code or attempt to disrupt it; (b) scrape or republish the Service as a competing product without permission; or (c) misrepresent Service output as a certified, professionally engineered, or safety-verified fuel calculation.

5. Third-Party Links, Advertising & Affiliate Links

The Service may display advertising (including Google AdSense) and affiliate links (including Amazon Associates links) to third-party products such as tank gauges, carbon monoxide detectors, regulators, and propane accessories. We may earn a commission on qualifying purchases made through those links, at no additional cost to you. We do not control, and are not responsible for, the availability, pricing, or content of third-party sites you reach through these links.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service's design, code, and the "Propane Tank Duration Calculator" and "S'more's Outdoors" names are owned by S'more's Outdoors. Third-party product and brand names referenced by the Service (for example, portable heater brands) are trademarks of their respective owners; their use here is solely to identify categories of equipment and does not imply any affiliation, sponsorship, or endorsement.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR THAT ANY CONSUMPTION OR DURATION ESTIMATE WILL BE ACCURATE FOR YOUR SPECIFIC RIG, APPLIANCES, OR WEATHER CONDITIONS.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, S'MORE'S OUTDOORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROPERTY OR PERSONAL INJURY, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR RELIANCE ON THE SERVICE, INCLUDING RUNNING OUT OF PROPANE, LOSS OF HEAT IN COLD WEATHER, FIRE, EXPLOSION, OR CARBON MONOXIDE EXPOSURE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED $0, AS THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE.

9. Changes to the Service and These Terms

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service, or update these Terms, at any time. Material changes will update the effective date above. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which S'more's Outdoors operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
